Kay Babineau

Kay Babineau has been an author and illustrator ever since she was old enough to hold a crayon. She was born and grew up in Southern California. In pursuing her career in the fine arts, she attended and graduated from Grossmont College with an Associate of Arts Degree in Painting, Drawing and Ceramic Sculpture with a minor in Photography. She then moved to the Santa Cruz mountains, near San Francisco, to be part of a larger art community, where she owned and operated a ceramics studio for many years.

While going back to school to study computer graphics she fell in love with pixels. Combining her skills in fine art and writing, with her commercial skills in digital media, she is now writing and illustrating children’s books, something she loves doing very, very much.
